Professional Development – Italian School for the Management of Companies

Situation
Nineteen Italian executives from sixteen industrial/manufacturing companies in Reggio Emilia, Italy were interested in gaining first-hand knowledge and exposure to current U.S. marketing trends in this sector as they explored their company’s growth opportunities in the U.S.
Strategy
Working with Center for International Studies – Italy (CIS), School for the Management of Companies, HeimannHills designed a one-day experiential, educational program followed by a second day of onsite visits to Chicago area manufacturing/industrial businesses. The seminar’s focus on current U.S. marketing trends in distribution, product innovation, and integrated marketing communication provided knowledge and discussion opportunities for the diverse interests of the executives. The business site visits enabled participants to observe current practices of a major multinational company as well as an Italian company which manufactures and distributes in the U.S.
Impact
Executives gained an understanding of the state of manufacturing/industrial marketing in the U.S. and introductions to U.S. businesses who can provide support in their own growth strategies
